Botswana
In Northern Botswana, the Okavango Delta reverses the tides of logic and nature, and floods each dry season, bringing essential water to the region’s ecosystems and prompting the arrival of some of the most endangered large mammals on the planet including, black rhinoceroses, red lechwe, buffalos, cheetahs, and zebras. The Okavango Delta is an essential part of the survival of the largest population of African elephants—around 130,000.
